the seattle sun is splendid
I like to think that I am a true Seattlelite, I can walk in rain pours with no umbrella, I relish a cloudy day and the hardly warm summer was always my cup of tea. Well, some things have changed and perhaps my Seattle-lite-ness has dimmed just a bit but only to give way to a little Provo-ite-ness with a dab of parisian. Sun. That's what it comes down to, and I guess in typical Seattle fashion I do not languish on the wintry days of June with tears in my eyes wishing for more sun, but when its here, there is simply nothing better. The days over 70 degrees. not wearing a coat to work, but most of all, looking from my 48th floor vantage point over a sunkissed view of my favorite city. Seattle is my home, my native land, beautiful in the rain and lovely in the sun. Perhaps the sun is simply a catalyst for my seattle-love, a chemical reaction that brings to mind the reason I pine for my hometown when the dreariness of a snowy end of april day in provo has me down. Never been here before? then make it a point to stop by, I'll tell mimi to throw some cookies in the oven.
